Updated regulations for Westwood Parks. View update here.
May 8th, 2020 - IMPORTANT NOTICE!
The Borough of Westwood shares a Lightning Detection System with the Westwood Regional Board of Education along with the Twp. of Washington and the Borough of Emerson. The main antenna that detects lightning is located at the Westwood Middle School. Due to the construction at the Westwood Middle School, the system will be inoperable until the end of July.
At this time the only activity that is permitted at our parks is walking and bicycle riding. We recommend avoiding the parks during inclement weather and if you have a cell phone, download a weather app that has lightning notifications.
Thank you for your cooperation.
