The Office is responsible for the following animal protection functions:
All dogs and cats seven months or older residing in the Borough must be licensed. The pet's current rabies immunization must cover the duration of the licensing period. Licenses are renewable every January.

Reporting of all animal bites that have occurred in Westwood. Warm blooded animals, such as cats, dogs, bats, raccoons, skunks and other wildlife can carry and transmit rabies.
