Jefferson Avenue Historic Designation

The Westwood Historic Commission has proposed several Jefferson Avenue properties for designation as an historic Westwood property described fully in the official Final Designation Report (PDF).

Historic Preservation Element

In 2007, the Borough of Westwood adopted a Historic Preservation Element (PDF). Mr. Bruce McCabe, an historic preservation expert assisted the Planning Board with the implementation of this Element The Element is the first step towards the introduction of an Historic Preservation Ordinance and the establishment of an Historic Preservation Committee in the Borough of Westwood.

At the February 19th, 2008 meeting. The Borough of Westwood introduced Ordinance 08-08, Historic Preservation Ordinance.
