New CDC data upends the prevailing narrative that CoVid 19 is really just a problem for older and auto immune compromised individuals.
While the study does not indicate how many in the younger demographic had underlying medical conditions , the fact that 40% of Americans, sick enough to be hospitalized by Coronavirus , were 20-52 years old - should be a wake up call. Younger people need to act responsibly and follow the CDCs preventative protocols:
1. Wash your hands often for 20 seconds each time - and do so religiously.
2. Avoid contact with public surfaces.
3. Cough/sneeze into the crook of the elbow.
4. Avoid large groups of people.
5. Maintain 6 ft. social distance between yourself and others .
Incorporating these 5 simple steps into your daily routine can reduce your chance of contracting the virus by 37-40% . And that means you can reduce your role in infecting a beloved family member by the same rate.
5 Simple steps have proven to produce significant, potentially life saving results. They can help hold the line on Covid -19’s spread into our community.
This event truly impacts “Westwood of all ages” in one way or another. We are all in this together. And we are all responsible to ourselves, our families and each other.
Please act accordingly.
