June 12th, 11AM: Historic Sign Unveiling at the Westwood Train Station

Join the Historic Preservation Commission and Heritage Society celebrate the Westwood Train Station and our first listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Additionally, we will be unveiling a historic county marker to celebrate the significance of our train station to Bergen County history. Registration is not required. Afterwards, check out the craft fair in the park!

August 1st: Journey Down Broadway Walking Tour

We’re launching the first of many audio walking tours on TravelStorys! Take a free, self-guided historic walking tour in Westwood’s Central Business district by downloading the TravelStorys app, available on any smartphone. September 10th: How-To-Demo, Paint Stripping

Join us at this hands-on event where we will be doing a crash course on stripping paint from original or historic wood surfaces. This event will be held outdoors. Pre-registration is required, with sign-up available in August. Prior knowledge NOT required. Materials will be provided.

October: Speaker Series

Beginning in October, we will be hosting a series of professionals from the historic preservation, planning, and design fields to discuss the role and value of preservation in our communities today. Learn about the how, why, and what we preserve. Details and speaker line-up to be released this summer. Pre-registration will be required, but prior knowledge is not.
