[ARCHIVED] Message from Mayor Arroyo - COVID-19 Hotline & more

Dear Residents:

Please share the information below with neighbors, family, and friends who may not have access to a computer. Flyers will be hung in public locations this week. 250 live agents will be answering the state's Covid-19 vaccination hotline (855-568-0545) from 8am-8pm, starting today, however, they do not expect to be able to assist in making appointments until later this week. Please note the call volume is expected to be high.

Councilmembers Chris Montana (Senior Advisory Board Liaison) and Cheryl Hodges (Health and Hospital Liaison) are working, respectively, with the Westwood Senior Advisory Board, and resident volunteer Dee Ross Kalman and Lisa McCoy , towards assisting our seniors to pre-register for CoVid 19 inoculations, and with HUMC @ Pascack Valley to keep us apprised of the federal government’s ongoing vaccine allocation, and upcoming local distribution events. Additionally, the director of Westwood House is exploring the possibility of offering inhouse inoculations to Westwood House residents in early February and, if supplies allow, hopes to expand the program to Westwood seniors later in the month. This is not yet confirmed.

For those with computer access, you are encouraged to use the links below for scheduling with the local vaccination centers. Please note, at this time, demand exceeds supply. Our best defense is to continue proper mask wearing, social distancing, and appropriate hygiene.
