[ARCHIVED] Parks and Recreation

The Westwood Recreation Department is dedicated to providing athletic, enrichment and community engagement activities for residents of the borough at the Westwood Community Center at 55 Jefferson Ave. and at our beautifully maintained parks, including Westvale Park which includes fields for baseball, football, soccer, an ADA accessible playground, and paved path for walking and biking that connects to Pascack Brook County Park.  Annually the department schedules soccer, tennis, golf, volleyball and other sports and fitness classes for children and adults in addition to sponsoring basketball, wrestling and field hockey recreation leagues.  Enrichment classes for young and older residents range from yoga to knitting, STEM to art, drama to nutrition.  Throughout the year the department hosts crafting events, a Halloween parade, the Summer Playground Program, Movies in the Park and, of course, the wildly popular Summer Concert Series.  Information about these activities, events and more can be found on our web page at and by following @westwoodnjrec on Facebook and Instagram.
