Dear Westwood Residents,
The Borough of Westwood continues to monitor the evolving situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). As such, please be advised of the following updates:
- I have been informed that a citizen in the Borough has been diagnosed presumptive positive with Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is not unexpected and it was merely a matter of time. I feel it is important to take this moment to remind the general public to continue following the CDC guidelines regarding prevention: Wash your hands with soap and water, avoid touching your face, and continue practice social distancing. Adhering to these simple routine reduces your chances of contracting this virus by 37-40%.
For more specific information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) visit the CDC website at www.cdc.gov or call the CDC hotline – 1-800-232-4636. Links for more information can also be found on our website www.westwoodnj.gov.
We will continue to put updates out as needed on social media channels and our website – www.westwoodnj.gov. Please ensure you are signed up for our emergency reverse 911 system and our email alerts. Both of these can be found on our website as well.
